Amy is a Folk-Country singer-songwriter creating music inspired by people, places and nature.

From the golden sandy beaches of Australia to the pebble smothered shores of the south coast of England, Amy has travelled the globe carefully bottling stories and experiences, and mixing them into the fine perfume of her musical craftsmanship and captivating live performances.

Drawing upon a childhood steeped in country music tradition and spent amongst the natural beauty of undisturbed Austra- lian bush land, with the unsurpassed influence of Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash, Emmylou Harris, Cat Stevens and Joni Mitchell ever hanging in the air, Amy exudes an honest and Earthy style, with uplifting melodies, creative guitar playing and a voice pure enough to bring the natural beauty of the outback vividly into any venue.

“The combination of playing with a band, solo, and without a microphone showed her true versatile ability. In true folk singer style, stories and song were thoughtfully intertwined” DitR.co.uk, 2013

After her second E.P. release in 2011, “Wide Eyes and a Smile”, Amy returned to the studio in early 2012 to record her debut album “Place of Mind”, set for release in April 2013 to be followed up with performances on the UK Summer festival circuit.

“Each personal experience of hers finds its way into the words & music. What I enjoy about the record is the way the melodies seep effortlessly into the listeners brain, making key phrases recognizable after just 1 or 2 listens.” Jasons-jukebox.com, Album review, 2013

In addition to her own musical endeavours Amy is passionate about the folk singer-songwriter music community, and so can regularly be found organising and running folk nights in Brighton to showcase the many gifted artists within the scene.

“The best thing for me is the connection I can make with the audience when I perform my songs – hearing their interpretations keeps me wanting to write and perform more.” Amy Hill, Interview excerpt, 2013.

Be sure to catch Amy live to forget your drizzly, high-street blues and see how a touch of sunlit natural beauty can be injected into your soul. It’s an experience you won’t forget.
